Ottmar Hörl is a German conceptual artist, sculptor, installation, action, photography, and object artist. He achieved worldwide popularity due to his radical, avant-garde art concepts as well as large-scale projects featuring serial sculptures in public spaces, based on his distinctive definition of sculpture as an organisational principle.

Although he creates sculptures of all sorts, the Gnome is probably one of his most recognised worldwide.

Unlike other Ottmar Hörl sculptures, this sculpture is NOT suitable for outside use. Pressure marks in the velvet like finish are possible due to the nature of the material. These can be carefully brushed out with a soft brush. To avoid pressure marks we recommend not to handle the sculpture excessively. There may be fewer fibres in the deeper indentations of the sculpture, this is expected and not a fault.
