the OBJECT ROOM began its journey in Auckland, New Zealand in 2011. Since then, owners Luke McCarthy and Timond Chu have taken the store with them through their own life adventures — most notably to Bangkok, Thailand, where the OBJECT ROOM was based from 2017 to 2022.

After a brief return to Auckland, followed by a chapter in Melbourne from 2023 to 2025, the OBJECT ROOM has now found its forever home back in Bangkok.

From day one, our vision has been to curate a distinctive collection of beautifully designed objects — pieces chosen for their quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and timeless appeal. Our shelves bring together treasures from around the world: designer RFID wallets by Secrid, luxury scented candles from Vancouver, celebrated artworks by Sydney-based duo Gillie and Marc, and ultra-contemporary Murano glass jewellery by Marina & Susanna Sent, to name just a few.
